Last night I had a dream...

I dreamt that Ian Paisley had been crowned 'King of Ulster' and Martin McGuinness was Prince Charming. Strangely enough Ian's son Ian had been sent out, by his father's church, to minister to the Aborigines in Australia.


Life had been much the same over the years throughout the kingdom. Apart from Ballymurphy, not the townland outside Greyabbey but the estate in Belfast, where they had won the coveted title of 'Family Friendly Estate of the Year, 2009'. This had been solely due to major investment from all the worlds leading ice cream companies.




Policing had changed too, ever since that historic day back in January 2007 . The Police Ombudsman's office had expanded rapidly. It was a common sight to see 'Police Ombudsman Road shows' at shopping centres, Police Ombudsman's karaoke nights, mobile Police Ombudsman clinics and even the Six Counties television company ( formerly Ulster Television) had a weekly programme entitled 'Behind the scenes at your local Police Ombudsman's office'. The numbers of police had fallen and there was about two members of the Police Ombudsman's office to every Police officer. Gone were the days that the Police service was called the 'Royal Ulster Constabulary' or even the other name change 'The Police Service of Northern Ireland' . These names weren't acceptable to the 'Accountants' and they had to change them again.A highly original term 'Six Counties' was used again and the Police force was called 'The Six Counties Police Force'. Though the word Force was commonly pronounced Farce.




I dreamt I'd been speaking to 'The Accountants' in their head office. One of them was a bearded gentleman and kept cracking jokes.Others stood motionless staring into space. Then in the building I heard an alarm, possibly a fire alarm. You've guessed, then I awoke from the dream.
