Watch Out, there's a blogger about!
You can't get away from them. They're lurking around every corner. They pop up in unexpected places. It's worse than a plague. Where on our planet is there a blogger free zone?
Thank God, it's not that bad but it's slowly getting that way.Anyway, the first blogger I heard today was Rick. I've a confession to make, today was the second time ever that I've heard Rick O'Shea on the radio.I did find out he's one of those consumers that buys newspapers for the freebies that accompany them. He's obviously better educated than I am as he buys papers with free 'Teach yourself Irish' CD's'.I buy papers for 'free horror movies' dvd's. He is definitely a top DJ and worth tuning in to, though the reception for RTE up here isn't great. If bloggers ever have a 'Worldwide Top Blogging Dj Competition' I guess he'd make the top 5 easily. Now to make his head swell (maybe) my wife thinks he's got a lovely voice. I better not let her loose in Dublin.
And, the second blogger online political commentator I heard today was Mick. I've only ever heard him speaking on a phone. Once on the phone to me discussing the possibility of an online book club (for his forum) and then on 'Blog Radio'(on his forum) which sounded like he was on the phone and then today phoning in to the Nolan Show on BBC Radio Ulster.Mick deserves an award too, that'd be for 'The Most Polite Commenter on the Nolan Show'. I've heard about using your 'telephone voice' but never heard a telephone voice as much as I've heard Mick's. I've a tip for you Mick next time you're on, get angry, get passionate. On second thoughts don't get passionate on the Nolan Show you never know where that would lead to.
Tomorrow I'll browse through any newspapers before I buy and just check in case they've let a blogger write for them. I'll not park on double yellow lines in case the blogging traffic warden books me. I'll not...
